Bret Jones
Attorney
Practice
Bret Jones is a Florida attorney with more than two decades of experience in real estate, business, development, and general counsel matters.
Background
Bret moved to Clermont as a child and grew up with early exposure to the real estate development business through his father. He attended South Lake High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Webber International University, where he graduated first in his class. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law.
Over the course of his career, Bret has built a practice grounded in practical business judgment, real estate experience, and long-term client relationships. His work has expanded well beyond Central Florida, with the firm now serving New Urbanism and development projects across the United States in a leading outside counsel role, while Bret continues to serve Florida projects directly as counsel.
He has also maintained a strong commitment to civic and institutional leadership. Bret has served for more than a decade on the Lake-Sumter State College District Board of Trustees and currently serves as Chair. His professional and community involvement reflects both deep roots in Central Florida and a broader perspective shaped by years of work with businesses, developers, and projects across a wide range of markets.
