
Attorney Michele Hobby is loyal to God, her family, her clients, and her community. Born and raised in Southern California, she moved to Florida in 1996. Attorney Hobby graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies. She graduated with her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2005 and has been practicing law in Florida for seventeen years, beginning in 2006.
Attorney Hobby started her career as a Prosecutor with the Fifth Judicial State Attorney’s Office in Marion County. From there, she moved to the Sumter County State Attorney’s Office where she successfully prosecuted hundreds of cases and gained valuable trial experience that has served her well throughout her career.
In 2008, Attorney Hobby entered private practice in Lake County, Florida. She has since handled a variety of legal matters including Civil, Criminal, Family Law, Modifications, Estate Planning and Probate cases. Out of all of the areas of law that Attorney Hobby has encountered in her career, she sincerely prefers Business Law in all its aspects. She enjoys the natural intersection with Corporate Law, Contract Law, Real Estate Law, Construction Law, Homeowner’s Association Law, and Estate Planning.
Attorney Hobby brings a wealth of legal experience to her clients at the Law Offices of Bret Jones, P.A. She is passionately devoted to protecting them and providing them with personal and thorough representation. She helps her clients successfully resolve disputes in mediation and other pre-suit negotiations when possible and litigates aggressively when necessary.
Outside of the office, Attorney Hobby enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three children. They love their dog, sports, working out, theme parks, traveling, and going to the beach.
